My name is Jennifer Davis. I grew up in the small town of Mocksville, North Carolina and attended Furman University in Greenville, SC where I majored in Elementary Education. While a student at Furman, I spent a semester abroad in Madrid, Spain where I totally fell in love with the Spanish language and culture. After graduating from Furman, I returned to North Carolina and attended UNC where I earned my MAT in Spanish (and more importantly, met my husband, Wayne!). I hold multiple teaching certifications in the areas of Elementary Education, Spanish, and AIG, and my teaching experience reflects this. I have taught K-5 Spanish, 4th grade, and AIG all here in North Carolina. Although I took eleven years off to stay home with my children, I returned to the classroom nine years ago as the AIG teacher here at Vance Elementary.
Even though this is my twelfth year as the AIG teacher at Vance Elementary, I have been a part of the Vance Family since 2007 when the oldest of my three children began Kindergarten here. Jonathon is now a senior at NC State where he is studying civil engineering, Bryant is a senior at UNC Charlotte where he is studying marketing, and Lindsay is a sophomore engineering student at NC State. When I'm not here at school, you can find me with my family! When I do have some spare time, I enjoy scrapbooking and traveling.
